Let's go! The MCYG Summer 2006 mission team is ready to hit the road from June 18-25. We have been practicing our drywall skills, raising our money, praying for our trip and filling our forms. Please continue to be in prayer for our team. We ask for prayer for safety, good health, energy, chances to share our faith, no hurricanes during the time we will be going or are there, and that the faith of each member will grow stronger and deeper.
Junior high youth group will meet during the months of June and July. The dates are: June 11, June 25, July 9 and July 23. We will meet at Ron & Donna Massner's from 6:00-8:00 PM. If you have a young person who will be going into 7th grade in the fall, they are encouraged to come to Jr. High youth group during the month of July.
A big thank-you to the St. Mary's Catholic Church for sponsoring a senior breakfast for our senior MCYG members. It was held on Sunday, May 21. The food was delicious and the program was wonderful. Each senior was given a memory video of their years in youth group.
Senior high is still in need of leaders, especially ladies. If you feel this is something you might want to be a part of, please contact Nancy Hitchcock at 394-3499 or 601-6101.
Thank you for your continuing support of the Mediapolis Community Youth Group. Please look for the Bucks for Youth envelopes in your church. A contribution of $1 per week/per giving unit of each church would totally support our youth ministry. If you feel God calling you to give more, it is greatly appreciated. We believe that because of your support the youth of this community will grow stronger in their faith and make a difference in the world for Jesus Christ.
MOMSense Simulcast
spurs interest for new small group
There is no more influential or powerful role on earth than a mother's.

On Saturday, May 13, nearly 30 mothers, grandmothers, and mother's to be gathered at FUPC for a morning of encouragement and inspiration. With the help of modern technology a live simulcast was broadcast into the sanctuary. The outstanding line-up of speakers and artists brought wisdom and humor to the topic of motherhood while motivating the women to reach their full potential as mothers.
As a follow-up to this simulcast a small study group for moms will be meeting during the month of June. Amber Nollen, the mother of two preschool boys will be leading this group. The group will meet Wednesdays, June 7, 14, 21, & 28, at 7 p.m. in the church basement. Topics will include trusting God with our role as mothers, allowing God's grace to overcome our weaknesses, establishing healthy authority in our child's life, and living free from the guilt of trying to be the "perfect parent". You need not have attended MOMSense to enjoy and be a part of this group.
If you have questions about this study group or are interested in attending please phone Amber at 394-9101 or email her at nollen211@msn.com.
